In general this would be a bad idea. Suppose deviceA and deviceB (within the same network) are using the same Object ID. Both devices are sending "I'm OK" messages to your LazyNanny server. If deviceA fails, deviceB will still be sending "I'm OK" messages.
Because the same Object ID is used for both devices LazyNanny will not know that deviceA has failed.
There are exception situation where redundancy and/or clustering is used for your service availability.
